Ensuring Excellence: Seafood Safety Inspections Kick Off the New Year
As the new year kicks off so is our dedication to maintain sustainable and safe seafood export from Kiribati.
Two Seafood Verification Officers flew to the Solomon Islands to board the Kiribati-flagged fishing vessel Moamari. As part of a routine inspection, this visit is vital to ensure Moamari meets food safety standards, including its own HACCP and Good Hygiene Practices. These measures are crucial to maintaining the vessel's export eligibility and upholding Kiribati's reputation for quality and safe seafood products.
This inspection is important at this time of the year to keep our seafood exports at their best!
Special thanks to KIRIKORE Fisheries Company Ltd for its continued collaboration and financial support for the completion of this task.
