An official from Geoscience Division from MFOR participated in the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF), held from 12th October to 15th October 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, an important platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration on strengthening the governance of the mining sector and promoting the responsible management of mineral resources.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to learn from international experiences, exchange ideas with government representatives and sector stakeholders, and explore practical approaches to improving mining governance while ensuring that mineral resources contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
