MFOR Secretary Riibeta and his Senior Assistant Secretary Teeta met with their Fisheries Observers and Coastal Fisheries Division Officers at the margin of the Development Partners Forum in Kiritimati on 14th September 2026. The purpose is to listen to their needs, challenges and priorities on the ground. The meeting also provided an opportunity to share updates on new Ministry's policies, developments and strengthen MFOR officers’ role as effecient team players of the Ministry in Kiritimati Island. MFOR is committed to empowering our teams to develop, support and sustainably manage the fisheries sector of Kiritimati Island for the people of Kiritimati and Kiribati. Strong fisheries always begin with strong and efficient team players on the ground.
