The Technical Compliance Committee(TCC) meeting was officially openned by FSM President H.E Wesley W. Simina today, 23 September 2026. A Kiribati delegation led by Secretary Riibeta and his MFOR team of advisors, are in Pohnpei this week, to attend parallell meetings on reforming the subregional fisheries arrangement (FSMA) of the PNA with a focus on attracting investment; as well as the WCPFC Technical Compliance Committee (TCC) meeting.  Together, these meetings will strengthen management of our shared tuna stock, and in turn deliver greater prosperity for Pacific Island Countries, including Kiribati and its people. The MFOR team acknowledged the FSM Government, WCPFC, FFA and PNA Secretariats for organising these two important and successful gatherings in Pohnpei.
