Two officers from the Oceanic Fisheries Division attended 3rd PNA Compliance Internship hosted at the Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA) Headquarters in Majuro, Marshall Islands. The week-long workshop, which commenced on the 28th of July, brought together fisheries compliance officers and senior observers from PNA member countries and focuses on hands-on training to manage case files reported by observers on fishing trips. The training also introduces a PNA Compliance Case Register, a regional database enabling PNA members to share and resolve compliance issues. Their participation reflects the Ministry's commitment to maintain strong fisheries enforcement and support sustainable tuna resource management in the WCPO region. Thanks to the PNA Office for the support and making this internship possible.
