On Saturday, 20th September 2025, the MFOR came together with their partners (youths, communities) to support the National MELAD Week undertaking the clean up of their Tanobakoa site at Ananau Causeway, Bonriki. This effort was a support of the National MELAD Week that celebrated the commemoration of the International Coastal Cleanup Day. This clean up campaign, which was also joined by Miss Kiribati Ms Atiterentaai Rinimarawa,is crucial to environmental sustainability, maintaining the beauty of the islands and raising public awareness about keeping both land and our ocean clean. The MFOR acknowledge the strong turn-out and the collaboration of our partners for making this event a success.
