H.E Te Betetitenti Taneti Maamau delivered his statement on behalf of the Pacific Island Forum, during the Ocean Action Panel 5 on Sustainable Fisheries and Small-scale fishers in Nice, France. His message was clear, "Sustain our ocean to secure our future. Invest in Pacific-led fisheries management that protects livelihoods, biodiversity, and global food security". H.E Te Beretitenti Maamau was joined by Honourable Minister Ribanataake Tiwau, Secretary to Cabinet Dr Naomi Biribo, Secretary MFOR Riibeta Abeta and the team from OB, MFAI and MFOR when he delivered his statement. Prime Minister from the Solomon Is Hon Jeremiah Manele as well as Minister of Fisheries Hon Jelta Wong from PNG were also made strong statements amplifying the significance of global partnerships to support sustainable fisheries.
